I am having trouble uninstalling this driver. After I began the uninstall process, the window just kept saying "Uninstalling devices" for two hours straight. I figured this wasn't normal so I cancelled the uninstallation.

Should I just update the driver through Windows, without uninstalling? Also other sources for downloading the driver manually would be appreciated. I couldn't find the actual driver through the Atheros website.

You may need to uninstall the driver in Safe Mode.

I have had similar problems with Atheros drivers, and it usually means the driver is corrupted and needs to be uninstalled through Safe Mode. Make sure to delete the driver software for the device when prompted to do so or it will re-install the corrupted driver on restart.

Atheros drivers do not install well over the top of older drivers. This is something I find frustrating myself.
