    BSOD on browsing/few on games

    HP Dv7t Laptop
    Specs:
Windows 7 Home Prem. 64 bit
    CPU: Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz
    Motherboard: HP 165-A
    RAM: 6 GB
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics & Radeon HD 6770M
    1 year old

My laptop has crashed into the BSOD in the past, but I just ignored it back then, however I had a hard time booting up my laptop this morning, and after booting it up and browsing the web, I ran into a couple BSOD. Not too sure why it has started acting up now. However around November or so, I did drop my laptop at school. There is a slight dent or two, but it was still working fine afterwards with the exception of the built in webcam which doesn't work anymore.(not sure if the drop completely broke it or if the wires came off) Not sure if the drop is the causation of the BSOD.

    Thanks

Please remove ATI Catalyst Control Center and then update your ATI video driver from the below link.
Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7

I would also highly recommend uninstalling AVG and installing Microsoft Security Essentials in its place.

so should I instead have the AMD catalyst install manager installed in order to switch between graphics cards or should that be removed too?

Nope, that should be alright as long as it isn't part of CCC.

well sadly, I was on my laptop and it froze, so I manually restarted. After trying to reboot, I couldn't get past the windows 7 logo page due to a BSOD

    stop: c000021a (fatal system error)
the verification of a KnownDLL failed. system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000020 (0x0522bb90 0x00000000).
the system has been shut down.

Run a Repair Install. It should fix your current version and Windows 7 but preserve your data, programs, user accounts etc.

Try booting in safe mode and then uploading your newest dumps here.
