I think this is a driver problem, can't figure out which

Since the 17th I've been coming back to my computer only to find it had restarted while I was gone. Frequency of such errors have increased in the last week or so. I have yet to be able to see a blue screen myself and see the error named. I was unable to figure out how to interpret the dump files.

I was unable to run a system restore or repair.

I tried using the verifier which did crash me into a BSOD but wasn't able to see a listed error before it restarted. Attached is a zip of the diagnostics. Any info you all might be able to suggest that could help me prevent further errors would be fantastic. I'm working on my dissertation and really need my computer for some data analysis!
It is a Lenovo Laptop running x64, which came pre-installed. The system is about a year old.

I work 8-430 CST but will be attempting to check the thread throughout the day. Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hello gilsonal. Your crashes point to NETIO.sys

There are a few things that can cause this.

    1. needing to update your network drivers
    2. Your A/V McAfee is problematic
    3. P2P Networking (uTorrent)
    4. Virus/Malware

So, for step 1, please update your network drivers at Lenovo's website. I don't have your model # for your laptop, so I can't link it for you. Go to Lenovo's website and look for the driver to update.

For step 2, uninstall McAfee. http://service.mcafee.com

For step 3, you may need to stop using your P2P for now.

    For step 4;
Most of us here suggest and use Microsoft Security Essentials(MSE). It is extremely effective and has a very small footprint. As a Windows customer, you may download it for free, here. Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows
After downloading and running the installer, please ensure that it is up to date. Then, select to run a full scan on all drives.

Also, please download and install, Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes : Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO removes malware including viruses, spyware, worms and trojans, plus it protects your computer Be sure to download the free version. Upon installation, be sure not to start the free trial. Malwarebytes is a powerful malware detection tool. After you have installed and updated Malwarebytes, run a FULL scan on ALL USER accounts. This means that if you have more than one login for your computer, you will need to run the scan on each account.

After doing these things, post back the results.

    Thanks,

    James

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for your suggestions. They seem to have worked. I'll be leaving my computer running all night to see if it restarts while I'm asleep. I was wondering, what about the P2P is making my computer vulnerable. I understand that if I were to download a corrupted or infected file it might, but are there further vulnerabilities I should be aware of?

You are very welcome. Please let us know what happens in the morning.

As far as P2P, what other than the danger of downloading a virus, or malware, or trojan, do you need? Do you understand the implications of the three? Do you know that some of the people who upload torrents only upload files so that they can get their other, much more sinister, product out there? Do you know that, NO antivirus or antimalware is 100%? You may do whatever you wish, as far as the P2P is concerned. After all, it is your PC, your bank accounts, your personal info, and your memories.

Again, best of luck. Let us know how it goes.

    Regards,

    James
