    BSODs after enabling ACC function

    Hi guys

I bought my computer 2 years ago and i always use to have the ACC function enabled(using all 4 cores instead of 2). Two weeks ago i noticed the ACC function got disabled and i restarted the PC to enable it and after that i started getting random BSODs.

At first i thought it was a memory problem because i ran Memtest which showed around to 6000 errors but after resetting the bios settings to default and fixing the RAM timings, i did a Memtest again without getting any errors.

After making sure that it wasn't a memory problem i enabled the ACC function again only to start getting BSODs again. Another thing i want to mention is that if the ACC function is enabled i have 20% chance of booting successfully to windows. Most of the time it asks me to do a start up repair only to get a BSOD while performing the repair or getting a BSOD before the repair starts.

    System Specs:
    Windows 7 64 bit
    AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 555 Processor
    ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO
    8GB RAM - OCZ3G1333LV4GK
    Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s (x2)

    Things that i didn't try:
    1) Clean install of windows. I'm not sure if that will fix the problem because as i said i can't even get to windows without crashing.

    2) BIOS update. I'm not really sure if i should try that because i heard that some BIOS updates could cause some problems instead of fixing others.

My current BIOS update is 0506
    The most recent is 2105

One more thing that i tried and gave me errors is the System File Checker but i don't think it has anything to do with my current problem. (Text file attached).

    Any help much appreciated

    Thanks

    Hi

It was my mistake in the first place. I enabled the ACC function without enabling the Unleashing Mode.
    BIOS pic
Now i enabled both and everything seems to be working fine.

    Thanks.

I am sure you are not the only one who has made that mistake. Thank you for posting back for others to learn.
