New System with AMD CPU & Asus MB Crashes Regularly, including Apps

M/B: Asus M5A78L-M LX Plus
CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 450 Processor 3.20 GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3 PC10600
H/D: WD 160GB
O/S: Windows 7 Pro 64Bit
Vid: Asus 8400GS Silent (8400GS-512MD3-SL)

System is a new build, new parts. Had issues during Windows install, but thought updated drivers would stabilize, but has not. System unexpectedly crashes and apps, like Firefox, will also unexpectedly crash.

Windows 7 Pro 64Bit

Although I initially had issues with the Windows 7 installation, the stability / crashing issue I reported seems to have been resolved by uninstalling Kaspersky 6 and replacing with Kaspersky 8. Also, I've found that Kapersky seems to work better if a majority of applications are installed first and then Kasperky "discovers" them during its installation.

Older versions of Kaspersky did cause problems on Windows 7, so I am not surprised to find out that updating it fixed it.

Interesting about the installation order, though.

Thanks for posting back.
