BSOD, "Bad_POOL_ Header" , Almost Immediately After Windows Loads

I am working on a laptop for a friend and receive the "Bad_POOL_Header" BSOD about 15 seconds after Windows loads. I do not receive the error in safe mode. I have attached the dump files but cannot run the System Health Report as this service will not run in Safe Mode. Can someone point me in the direction of what driver and/or software is causing the BSOD?

There's only two minidumps present, one dated from Oct 2011, and the other is from today. What doesn't make sense is that the syslog said that it saved the crashdumps for previous crashes yet I don't see their minidumps here. Are these the only dump files present in C:\Windows\Minidump directory? It does appear like there's an issue with a disk driver or a filter driver that filters disk I/O, which may explain why memory dumps aren't being generated (if they aren't).

Anyways, this does indeed look like a driver issue, but the minidump itself offers no valuable data aside from it being disk-related, and minidumps are used to find patterns in crashes so one minidump isn't enough here.

Therefore, I recommend turning on Driver Verifier. Do not select the following checks: Force Pending I/O Requests, IRP Logging, and Low Resource Sim. Select all other checks. Make sure to restart system after you finish setup. If you experience a boot loop afterwards, go into Safe Mode by pressing F8 prior to Windows logo and disable DV there. Provide us any new crashdumps that may be generated from this.

Btw, as a hint, the process that was running during this particular crash I'm seeing was SetAPM.exe, an Acer bloatware application that's designed to "improve" power management functionality. I recommend you uninstall it. Perhaps that's the bugger that's causing all this.

Thank you so much for your quick response. Not sure why there were only 2 minidumps (there are tons in that directory). However, after uninstalling all Acer Bloatware, I have yet to see a BSOD. I am going to say the issue is solved. Again, thank you so much for your help.
