    BSOD randomly occurs, error PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

Hello, I recently purchased some more memory for my PC because one of the modules was corrupt causing it to bluescreen constantly. I replaced the 2x2GB modules with 4x2GB modules of DDR3 RAM, and it's been fine for weeks. However in the last few days it has been bluescreening at random times, with the error PFN_LIST_CORRUPT on the bluescreen. The appropriate diagnosis files are attached (in a ZIP file).
    Thanks,
    Sam

Please start with the following free, bootable diagnostics to help rule out some of the more common errors: Initial Hardware Diagnostics In particular, please run the Memory Diagnostic as described in it's page (due to the new memory in your system).

If using a USB mouse, feel free to ignore the PS2 mouse error in MSINFO32.

Logitech camera drivers date from 2008 - they must updated. If updates aren't available, then the software/drivers must be uninstalled and the camera physically removed from the system.

Acer Empowering Technology drivers date from 2009. Either update or uninstall these programs.

Realtek Audio drivers date from 2009. Update these please

Kaspersky software dates from 2011, please update to the latest version.

Your video drivers are fairly old (Feb 2012). Please update from the nVidia website (if available): World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies | NVIDIA

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please zip up and upload any new memory dumps with your next post - and we'll see what we can figure out from there.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

    Hello,

The Kaspersky software is already upgraded to 2012, not sure why it's showing up as 2011. Don't actually know if the drivers make a difference. This is the first time I've had a crash since when I replaced my memory at the beginning of this month (after one of the memory modules died I was running on 1x2GB instead of 2) and the last time I updated the drivers was then. I don't think drivers are responsible as I'm not doing anything I haven't been for the last few months. I can't upgrade the sound drivers as updating them causes them to not work properly (namely the stereo mix record function, which I need to dual cast for my YouTube). I'll update my video drivers though and post if it happens again. Also, memory diagnostics are not reliable, as I found out when my memory died before, Memtest does not stress the memory as well as Windows does. It detected no errors but it only stopped crashing after I took out the faulty module. Thanks for the info though,

    Sam
