Hello, I've been having problems with the BSOD. Here are the specs:

    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I believe it is the original OS for this computer, but I can't be sure. After looking up my system (Dell Studio XPS Desktop) It looks like it had Windows Vista, so based on that I'm assuming Windows 7 was added after it was bought. It was released ~2009. I'm assuming the Windows 7 is recent, and I have re-installed it since getting the computer trying to fix the BSOD.

Before I re-installed Windows 7, I was getting a BSOD about my drivers, but I'm not sure this is the same BSOD. Any help you can give me would be greatly appeciated, I can't find any information on my own (That i can understand not being a huge computer junky) and I was told this is the best place to look. Thanks ahead of time

    Why do you say this?
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I believe it is the original OS for this computer, but I can't be sure.
Please provide us with the results of this report: Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions

Only 60 updates since SP1 - most systems have from 75 to 130 updates. Please visit Windows Update and get all available updates.

You have a Belkin USB Wireless Adaptor - Win7 doesn't like these devices, especially with older (Vista era) drivers. Here's my rant about these devices:
I do not recommend using wireless USB devices. Especially in Win7 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 - and using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.
There's not a whole bunch of information in the memory dumps (no 3rd party drivers were in the memory dump). This is suggestive of a hardware problem. If the BSOD's persist after taking the above steps, then I'd suggest running these free diagnostics: Hardware Diagnostics

Well, the posting instructions said to mention what your OS was and if it was the original installation of it. Also, once i swap from the Wireless USB, will there have been any permanent damage or should the problems go away? If that is the source of the problems of course.

Sorry for not being clear. I specifically wondered why you stated "...but I can't be sure." Why is that? What does the sticker on the bottom of the laptop say?

As long as I'm correct about the wireless USB device, things should work just fine afterwards.

With BSOD's there shouldn't be any permanent damage as Windows is designed to "fail fast" and avoid problems that way. There is a chance of some corruption due to the BSOD's, but not as much as if you'd get by shutting down the computer by holding the power switch (IMO).

It's a Desktop, but there is a sticker on top that says Windows Vista, so i guess that's what your talking about so I assume that's the original OS installed. Lastly, can you suggest a good built in wireless device for the motherboard? I have never got one before, always used the USB's.

The last I used one of these was 2 years ago and it was a Linksys device.
