    OK, the latest fashion is irql_not_less_or_equal 0x0a

    I have attached the minidump just in case but (as long as I could see), it says nothing of value (ntoskrnl being the perp as usual)

    I'm preparing for a clean re-installation now - I just hope this will solve the problem.

    If not, I'll try a memory-stick change as a last resort (although, I doubt this is the problem).

    Anyway, thanks everyone for your help!

    You still had Daemon Tools installed. Please refrain from installing it after you do your clean install.

    For the clean install, follow the steps in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to get your drivers and software installed optimally and test each driver and program to determine which may be the culprit.
