    BSOD during idle mode

Windows 7, 64 bit. It's the original OS. I'm not sure what the difference between OEM and full retail is but I got this the way it was in the shop. I haven't added anything. The age is roughly a year old and I haven't reinstalled the OS.

I got the BSOD twice a month or two apart about 2-3 months ago. However, it happened once yesterday, and twice today. The second time I got the error 0x8000ffff but I was able to do a system restore.

I usually keep my laptop on for days... I used to do that with my previous laptop and I never had any problems so I don't know if that's what's causing the BSOD.

I don't understand any of the computer stuff but I did notice on the report that it says no antivirus is detected. But I have the AVG running... I installed it after my Norton antivirus expired.

    Thank you for helping! :)

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please uninstall the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): http://www.duplexsecure.com/faq#remove_32sptd Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
    Alternate link: Disc-Tools.com
Manual procedure here: Registry and SPTD problems | DAEMON Pro Help

Norton is still installed and needs to be removed:
    Anti-Virus Removal:
    Please do the following:
    - download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
    - uninstall the Norton from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
    - remove any remnants of Norton using this free tool: http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_...080710133834EN
    - IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus, then check to ensure that the Windows Firewall is turned on.
    - check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.
Your EldoS RawDisk driver dates from 2009, please update it.
More info here: Driver Reference Table - dddskx64.sys

Both memory dumps implicate your wireless networking drivers. Please:
    - download a fresh copy of the wireless networking drivers
    - uninstall the current networking driver software
    - install the freshly downloaded wireless networking drivers
    - monitor for further BSOD's

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please zip up and upload any new memory dumps with your next post - and we'll see what we can figure out from there.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs
