    Try updating the Windows Update Agent: How to obtain the latest version of the Windows Update Agent

    Then try it again.

    System Update Readiness Tool that fixes Windows Update problems is available for Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008 Give that a go. If not I might suggest a Clean Install Windows 7

Happens at random... happens about once a day at a random time. No idea why.
