MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Some of your remaining problems are related to bios and drivers.

This is for you to have a solid system. If you would rather not, then I'll quit right now.

No, listen Karl... I'd definitely like the information and if you think it would be worth doing Ill certainally update the bios.

Im just a little confused about what you're refering to as "remaining problems"... are you talking about the SSD drive thing I mentioned? Do you think that is actullay coming from a problem in the bios? Or is there something else I am missing?

MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

there are several possible sources of your remaining problems.

the most important to be corrected is: update bios, update drivers (with ones from Gigabyte site).

After the bios update, I'll go thru the driver updates that need to be applied.

Without those updates, you will simply beating your head against the wall to fix your remaining problems, and yes, they are problems not minor quirks.

Ok Karl. I'll start updating the drivers tomorrow. I am too tried right now and want to wait until I am rested and fresh to continue...

Its been 2 days almost non-stop and I need a little break before continuing. I will update you later tomorrow on my progress.

Damn, I forgot to say, you were talking before about updating the bios outside of windows using qbasic, it think. I have no idea how to do that. What should I do? Should I try to find out how to do that?

All I have for the moment is a .exe file to be run in windows, clicking on it is the extent of my knowledge as regards bios-flashing

I will review, copy, etc to explain to you how to use QBasic to update your bios. QBasic is built into your bios for updating the bios. You never run Windows which is a much safer approach.
Hey Karl!

What should I do about what you said before here? I googled for some tutorials about how to do this and didnt find much.
