I'm waiting for my external hard drive to arrive now. Another thing that I've realized is happening is that Adobe Acrobat keeps asking me to update every time I restart my computer. In addition to that my Laptop monitor now goes black but doesn't actually shut off as quickly as it used to (I didn't change that) and today I heard some random song playing. After checking the sound mixer I found out that it was coming from Host Process for Windows Service. Are these things related to this problem as well?

There is no intelligent way to guess. All the problems may caused by a bad hard drive, but we must wait to see what happens. My guess is that you have other problems besides the HD.

So I grabbed Malwarebytes to check for any malware on my computer and it found 3 issues, one of which is the same exe as one of the others. Should I do the backup disk thing before removing the trojans or after? I realize this is kind of out of the scope of this problem but not sure what the proper order here would be. I have the hard drive now so let me know what you think please. And thank you for all your help so far.

Additionally, for when I do use Macrium Reflect. What is the proper order of using that?

Remove all the malware before making any sort of back up. If you dont and you use the back up the problems will return.

If I may add a little. I would also remove all Adobe products before backing up.

Alright I will take care of those two things. Although I can't get rid of all the Adobe stuff since Acrobat doesn't seem to want to leave. But I will get rid of as much as I can.

It would seem that Photoshop is fine now after dealing with the virus problem. I suppose it's possible that the guys helping me with that also fixed the photoshop problem since I had mentioned it to them. Thanks for your help though guys.
