    memtest86

Ok, I left my PC on over night and managed to do the 8 passes on while both sticks were in, then I did 6 passes on each stick (tried each stick in a different slot). No errors came up. I then tried running a game whilst using only one stick of ram, again in different slots, and the pc still BSOD like normal.
I noticed on the memtest that when it was testing, it showed 800hz, and a 6-6-6-20 timing, when my memory is 1600 9-9-9-24. I also have a 64 bit system, but the program shows x86. Is this all normal?
    Thanks for the help.

If you are not dual channel (often gives false negative) I would say that you are ok.
If you have the problem unders stress, its probably due to excessive demand on the computer. Memory is often the cause, but not always. Lets try a general stress test. Remember, we are just using educated guesses, at this point, because of your inconclusive reports.

    Running Prime95 now.

Also, I wrote the stop codes down if they are of any help. Its the clock interupt on the secondary processor not receiving within the allocated time interval. The stop code is: 0x00000101 (0x0000000000000019, 0x0000000000000000, 0xFFFFF88002F65180, 0x0000000000000002)

    Thanks for the help

101 tells us may be hardware, we know that already.
Usual causes: Device driver, BIOS bug, hardware defect

After having the same bsod through what must be over 10 complete formats and reinstalls of windows, would this point towards a possible hardware issue?

Yes, that is why I am giving you tests for hardware.
I feel that it is hardware (memory is considered hardware) and the tests so far is to try to discover precisely the cause.

Ok. Well I will keep you posted on the Prime95 in six or so hours. I have a spare sound card and would it be worth putting this in an running my sound off of that, and disabling the onboard sound ?

I'd wait a bit on that one.

Should I choose the options in Prime95 that are less RAM orientated, as I have already tested the RAM with memtest86?

Yes, that would probably be best.
