BSOD Playing League of Legends USBPORT.SYS

Hello fellow mates,

I got a BSOD a few hours ago while playing League of Legends. The computer that I am using is recently built with all new components. After my first BSOD, I was not able to get the minidump. Soon after, I replaced the MOBO and video card. Now, I just got a BSOD but this time i have the minidump. Maybe the problem has to do with the PSU? Please help and thank you in advance.

Hello Brian and welcome to Sevenforums.

I wasn't able to open the crash dump for whatever reason, though I noticed a few things in your nfo. If you have issues with the USBPORT.sys, try the fix below.

Possible fix| Go to Device Manager > Expand the USB list > Uninstall every driver (not device) and Reboot Windows.
Let Windows detect them and reinstall them.
  • What kind of USB Devices to you have attached to your ports?

Best Regards,
Frederik.

Hello FredeGail,

Sorry for the extremely late reply. I will try what you suggested and see if the bsod returns.

Welcome
Im not getting involved, since you are in very good hands. I WAS able to open the file and it sait that it was a memory problem. One dump is not enough for a definitive analysis, however.

Run for 8 passes.
Then test each stick in a good slot for 6 passes.
If you have dual channel, the results may be incorrect, if shows pass.
