    Hi Frederik;

    Sorry I haven't replied in a while, been snowed under with work this week, but I have a new dumpfile to upload. The pc crashed as soon as I got into windows, temp was normal, I haven't changed anything else either.
    Getting very confused...

    Hi Frederik;
    Just crashed again! I was busy playing crysis warhead and got a bsod. Something new in this crash dump file. I wonder if it could be a motherboard fault?

    Hello Andreas!

    In post #30 as far as I'm concerned, I asked you how your computer would act in safe-mode. Were you able to get into safe-mode and browse around without a crash?

    Best Regards,
    Frederik.

    Hi Frederik;
    I was able to boot to safe mode without issue, I could browse folders and such for a long time without any problems.

    This might prove that either software or a driver is the cause, and not hardware! I've only have one advice left, if you don't want to do a Clean Install, we'll do some steps. Though, it'll be secure to do a Clean Install. If you have things to loose, consider making a backup. If you desire to keep your system, let me know -- but it'll be difficult.

    Clean Install Windows 7

    Best Regards,
    Frederik.

    Hi Frederik
    I have already done a clean install on this system. I formatted my hard drive and installed Windows about 5 days before I joined sevenforums. I got bsod's without having installed anything other than windows. Then I bought a Seagate 1TB internal HDD and installed windows onto that about a week ago. Still the same issues remain. My windows is definitely legitimate, I paid full price from a computer store, so I am about ready to give up on this thing.

    Strange. I believe we have not tried Ubuntu yet.

    Ubuntu
    For a trial, try downloading a copy of Ubuntu and see if your system will crash.
    By that, we'd have an idea if Windows 7's drivers and system is broken. You can try it out on a
    flash drive if you so desire.
    Go to Ubuntu.com | Download the image | See how to create a bootable flash drive
    Leave it running for some time and report your results.

    Also after you done the Clean Install previously, what did you install just afterwards? Or maybe you just left it pure clean?

    Best Regards,
    Frederik.

    Hi Frederik;
    Now that you mentioned it, the only thing I had installed was AVAST, I only installed the antivirus then had it sent in to be repaired at the pc shop. I can't believe I didn't think of that! If I uninstall it, what will be best to replace it with?

    Thought there were something strange happening. :)

    Microsoft Security Essentials is neat. You can use the Avast Uninstaller if you desire, but maybe a Clean Install is more handy.

    Best Regards,
    Frederik.

    Ok thanks Frederik, I've intalled Microsoft Security Essentials, I'd like to run my system for a while and see if I have any problems. If I get another bsod, I'll do a clean install for sure.

    Thanks for all the help:);
