BSOD on startup, error 0x0000009c (hardware)

    I honestly have no idea. I think this is the only thing you can do.

    Ya, I'm stumped. I actually think it might be the motherboard. I'm going to contact ASUS tomorrow and see if they have any answers and to see if it can be RMAed.

    Well I got a new board from ASUS and it still won't let me boot into Windows or install Windows. I've tried different hard drives but nothing works. I have even tried to boot into Ubuntu but it won't load either. Any suggestions?

    Then it's definitely a hardware problem. A serious problem. Have you tested your HD, RAM?

    STOP 0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION

    Usual causes: Hardware error (similar to STOP 0x124) BSOD Index
