BSOD after start up.

This just started to happen recently. My computer would freeze/BSOD after a couple mins of startup. After the second start up, it doesn't freeze/BSOD. Then the next day it will crash again after startup and work the second time. Sometimes it will freeze randomly at a later time when it doesn't crash at the start up or when playing games like skyrim or Saints row 3. I did a memtest because I got BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 3 times. I did the standard test and it found no error. When I tried probe setting, the screen turns to a screen with blue,black, cyan and green. Not sure if its suppose to be like that.

the memory.dmp file was too large to attach so I used bluescreenview and saved the results as a txt file called BSOD

If the memory.dmp files is huge... then upload them services like skydrive or dropbox etc.... and then post a link here

Please upload the application and system logs using the SF Diag tool... These are not available in the zip files

Hi

1. the system has been rebooted during high temps...@ 400K = 166.85 deg C... thats way high.... clean the CPU and Graphics card fans ...

2. the last 2 BSOD .... are related to the Graphics card....... again based on what you said

the screen turns to a screen with blue,black, cyan and green.

These things happen when there is problem with the cards either hardware or software.i would suggest you do step 1 first.

3. Please update Windows to SP1...

4. use the Hardware detection tool and the Acer updater as per your manufacturer to update all drivers. Also your bios has updates as well

which button will copy the applications and systems logs? I remember pressing all the the buttons before I uploaded it.
I just used the new Sf diagnostic tool and used the grab all this time so hopefully it has what you need.

Hi

the system logs are only till 2012-07-30...

so go directly to eventviewer and right click on the system files and save it as .evtx file and upload here.. (ex as shown below )

I need to go buy more air cans to clean my graphics cards and cpu fans. but the last time I cleaned them was about 1-2 months ago. I try to clean them monthly or at least every three months. Also I usually have a program called CPUID Hardware Monitor running in the background and I never seen my graphics card go past 80°C but I have had a problem when playing skyrim that my graphics card has stop responding but has recovered. Could that mean my graphics card is causing my BSOD and is my main problem? Right now I'm currently downloading w7 sp1 and making a ms-dos usb to update my bios. I've been update most of my drivers.

Also I have a question about updating bios. Its says I have to Flash BIOS SOP for DOS do I also have to do Flash BIOS SOP for Windows, or are these just two different methods of updating the bios?

You could as well the job done with a vaccum blower...

You could also do the Furmark stress test to see how whether the temps are levelling for the graphics ....

The temps which i mentioned above was for the CPU...

I cleaned out my computer. Did the Furmark stress test and it leveled at 80°C. My computer hasn't crashed since yesterday. I've updated most if not all of my software except of my bios. Is there a way I can test my computer is working good again or just wait a couple of days to mark as solved?
