Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7438 Crashes While Booting

This has been an ongoing problem I've been having, but has become more and more frequent lately. At first, I thought it might be due to the BIOS, so I flashed the new BIOS, still nothing. Then I contemplated heat being the problem (as sometimes it crashes after it's been on for quite some time; 1 day or more), so I removed the battery and propped up the rear of the laptop to get more cooling. That didn't help.
Now, I'm wondering if it's the motherboard itself that is overheating causing the laptop to crash after being on for an excessive amount of time.
When the laptop boots after being off for a day or so, it will boot up initially. However, after I restart it immediately after booting into the OS (Windows 7), it will crash even before getting to the Windows 7 Logo.
I'll have to unplug the power cord, remove the battery (when it's installed) and hold down the power button for 30 seconds each and every time I need it to reboot, and even sometimes that doesn't work.
Recently, I did a fresh install of Windows 7 32 bit.
About a year and a half ago I put in more RAM (the specific kind and not too much where the computer couldn't read it) which I bought from NewEgg. I have a total of 3 GB.
The screen is not black when the laptop starts, so I know it's not the famed video driver that gets out of date. It's something else; either software or hardware component(s) that's not allowing the computer to boot.

Any information that is needed I'll provide of course.

BSOD error from doing a system check with the Installation Disc

    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033
    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 124
    BCP1: 00000000
    BCP2: 85F62664
    BCP3: 00000000
    BCP4: 00000000
    OS Version: 6_1_7600
    Service Pack: 0_0
    Product: 256_1
Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\082512-46129-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Adin.DSMFTW\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-60809-0.sysdata.xml

Eventually, I got the computer to start up and run long enough to do some much needed critical updates from Windows Update, but I'm not sure how long it will last running. The OS Version should be the latest version as of now.

If you're getting a BSOD from even the installation disc environment, then you have hardware failure for sure. The two oddball WHEA errors I'm seeing from the crashdumps also are conducive of some serious problems.

Because this is an OEM laptop, you unfortunately have very limited options for replacement parts. I sincerely doubt we're dealing with disk failure here, so you can rule that out. As for memory, you said you added memory but never removed existing memory. You should remove the old memory and sit the new memory in the first slot(s) and see if things stabilize. If they do, lucky you, it's just that bad old stick of RAM. Otherwise if problems persist, it's time to start looking for a new laptop.
