Random BSOD/Freeze while gaming/browsing the internet + other errors?

Alright, so i've had my computer for quite a while now and im starting to see a few errors here and there. I've tried several things to fix my problems but none of them seem to have worked.

Let me begin by describing the issue.
When i'm playing a game or just watching something on youtube my computer will either BSOD or freeze for a few seconds and then say: "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver , Version 301.24 stopped responding and has been recovered".
furthermore whenever my computer crashes it seems to have a very hard time starting up again. The screens usually go black after the windows logo has appeared, and after that a hard shut down is required and if im lucky ill be able to login.

Im thinking its a driver related problem seeing that i can boot up in safe mode with no problems?

*Edit* Is there anyway to move this thread to the crashes and debugging section?

    Additional information:

I am running Windows 7 Enterprise x64 with service pack 1.
I'm using two Nvidia Gtx470 graphic cards with the newest drivers.
I have tried ALL the drivers for these cards and i have performed a clean install of them, though without any luck.
The problems started after i updated my driver to a newer version.
I have tried lowering my GPU, which didn't help.
I have been playing around in the nvidia controle panel. (Lowering the PhysX quality etc)
    It's not my computer overheating.
It might have something to do with SLI seeing that when my SLI is activated its more prone to crash.
