    BSOD while gaming ntoskrnl.exe error 0x000000f4


    This has been going on for a while now. I replaced my motherboard and a bad hard drive. I run off an SSD (samsung 830) as my boot drive with a 1 TB hard drive for storage. I ran memtest multiple times with no errors. Could this be a failing PSU?

    The debug info in WhoCrashed said this was not a hardware issue but most likely a driver. I uninstalled all the audio drivers except the one I used just in case. I reverted all my overclocking for the CPU and ram back to default.

    Your BSODs don't give a probable cause.

    I've seen Daemon tools installed in your computer which is a known cause for BSODs

    Please uninstall it and run driver verifier.

    Lets enable driver verifier to rule out buggy drivers
    Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

    Information
    Driver Verifier runs in the background, "testing" drivers for bugs. If it finds one, a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) will result; the corresponding dump file will hopefully show the faulty driver.

    Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
    You also have some disabled devices.

    Click on the Start
    Expand all items
    Look for a
    Install all the missing ones

    I updated/removed any missing drivers in device manager (PCI Simple communications Controller, USB drivers). I also enabled hot plug in bios for my SSD as I heard it improves performance and stability for the drive. If I still Get blue screens I will do the driver verifier method. Oh ya and uninstalled daemon tools

    Okay so I thought the system was stable after the previous actions, but it blue screened unfortunately. I ran the driver verifier and and it blue screens instantly as windows launches. I kept forcing a blue screen a few times to make sure it caught the culprit in the dump. Blue screen view says "uxpatch.sys" caused the crash. Apparently its linked to custom windows themes which I have. You know how to get this off my system? Dump files attached.

    I also am now running driver verifier with uxpatch.sys unchecked just incase there are other driver issues

    i had similar BSOD 2 weeks ago (crashed in 3D games, random freeze at desktop, memtest ok),
    eventually i removed some of the windows update (since 30-Aug), and it works well now

    I have ran that command constantly since I have experienced bluescreens. I ran it again with no violations. I have googled that driver and it seems many people are having that problem. I will just uninstall my custom theme.

    Well it wasnt the theme I was using rather the patcher you must run which patches windows 7 before you are able to utilize the custom theme. It alters windows files

    This is the patcher
    UxStyle - no more patching.

    this is the theme I was using before I uninstalled (although in my opinion this information is irrelevant)

    If you google that driver I had a problem with nothing but blue screen debugging will pop up. The program is nothing but trouble it seems. Actually so much so that you guys here should put that in your known drivers to induce BSOD archive
