Is this your System: Acer Support: Downloads & Support Documents - Desktop / Aspire / Aspire M5201

If so there is a bios update, Vista was pre-installed on that machine, How did you come about getting windows 7 and how did you install it? upgrade or clean install?

    Thanks

    Yes that's my system,
I did a clean install, and I'm really unsure about how to update BIOS etc.

Where should I find that bios update, and is it hard to do it?

Bios can be found here: Acer Support: Downloads & Support Documents - Desktop / Aspire / Aspire M5201

    Download the latest one: R01.C0 - 1.5 MB - 03/16/2010

Info can be found inside the Zip file after you have unzipped it.

    Thanks.

Also what do I choose here?
    4. Choose BIOS bin file and click “Open”
    5. Choose flashing setting as your need(ex:Boot Block,NVRAM,…),if you don’t flash Boot
Block,NVRAM…,please skip step 5,run step 6.(We do not recommend to select NVRAM
for normal BIOS flashing) and click “Flash”
