Okay I will try to help. First you have to help us. Fill in your ((My System Specs)). Look at My System Specs in lower left corner of this post. It will give you a idea what we needed. Use the User CP at the top of the page.
Why did you install Windows 7? Is it a upgrade, a clean install, form what source?

I can't go on the system (other than booting from discs) at all. So i can't tell you the specs.

I installed win7 because my old computer was starting to get slow and needed to reformat, so i decided to just upgrade it to win7. It is a clean install from a windows 7 ultimate disc. I just booted up the disc and installed it from there, and now every time i boot it up, it just freezes at the message "Verifying DMI pool data.... update success"

Do I understand correctly that you are trying to install Windows 7 on your old computer that had a older operating system on it. The reason I'm asking some older computers didn't have the proper hardware to install Windows 7 on. What was the older operating system? XP, Vista or what? We need to know where you been before we can help you get where you are trying to go. Your old computer tells me nothing. How old. A five or six year old computer may or may not have needed hardware.
Has Windows 7 ever worked on this computer?
