BSOD on cold startup everytime; 0x124_4 error

    Hi,

I have BSOD on a cold startup everyday. On most time after the first BSOD of the day the PC will run fine for that whole day. There will be two consecutive BSOD on certain occasions. The problem stops for a week after I updated the NEC USB 3.0 Host controller so it seems there is other problem causing the BSOD but now I am not so sure. Thanks.

    Welcome

While I analyze your dumps, please uninstall Daemon tools, its a known cause for bsods.
Please uninstall McAfee and replace it with MSE Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

    Do these and post back

Ok. I rarely use Daemon Tools anyway. Btw, I do not like McAfee but is it really that bad? Thanks.

McAfee & Daemon Tools are frequent causes of BSOD's.

Get rid of them and keep us posted.

Ok. I uninstalled Daemon tools and download MSE but it still have the errors. So I click on the link given and did it one time at a time. At one time I received a BSOD message that states an uncorrectable hardware error despite updating the drivers. I went on to removed the the USB 3.0 Host Controller since that was the only other PCI express card and it has been problem free thus far. Thanks for the help guys.
