Very unfortunately, but I cannot see any stress of dxgmms or any other graphics failure in the dump, other than the probably caused line.
Can you please elaborate , when it occurred, what were you doing that time?
Using VMware?
Using Roxio?
Scanning for viruses?
All the things are showing lots of errors, but nothing video related!![]()
Your response is highly important here.
Arc, I was logged into World of Warcraft at the time of the crash and had been for a long period before it.
► Diagnosing basic problems with DirectX
► Uninstall ATI drivers using |MG| Driver Fusion (Driver Sweeper) 1.2.0 Download and install an earlier version.
► Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
Let us know the result .
Arc, I think there is a problem with the latest Furmark as if I attempt to log the results, the program crashes.
davidfitz, run the program, observe it yourself, if it shows any error or not.
if the test shows any errors, then we may assume what does that indicate.
Used driver fusion to remove all ATI drivers. Downloaded legacy drivers from last year, ran furmark, no issues.
Another blue screen again.
Would completley reformatting the system help at all ?
A complete reformatting always helps, other than it is a hardware related crash.
In your case, it is not hardware apparently, but it is DirectX. As DirectX is inbuilt, better you go for a clean install.
