    BSOD - ntoskrnl.exe and ntfs.sys

Hello, I am having BSOD randomly and it can occur even when I am not doing anything. I am using a toshiba satellite laptop and run on an ssd vertex3 ocz operating on windows 7 ultimate. There are two different stop codes, the one that occurs most frequently is 0x000000f4 and the other is 0x0000007A. I am not sure if it's a driver issue, I ran the verifier program on all drivers not manufactured by microsoft. I have updated the firmware on this ssd if that helps. I ran a full scan of microsoft security essentials and it detected no viruses. I am running out of options and don't know what to do, this problem is quite aggravating. Any help is appreciated! PS. I did not change any other hardware besides the hard drive which died and replaced it with the ssd, but it could be a driver issue, I am not sure.

    Welcome aboard!

Let us try to recover the error caused by Ntfs.sus:

    1. Reseat the sata and power.
    2. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
    3. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.

    Let us know the results.
