BSOD with new Saffire Radeon HD 7850 2GB doing anything

BSOD with new Saffire Radeon HD 7850 2GB doing anything

    Hi, I'm new.

I recently added 4x4GB of PNY ram to my Dell Studio XPS Core i7 system and replaced my Nvidia GT220 card.

Then I started getting frequent bsods, about 8 a day.

driver_irql_not_less_or_equal stop bsods in netio.sys as well as Bad_Pool_Header and various other errors.

So I thought it was the card.

I replaced the card and put my old card in. It lasted a lot longer but I got a not_less_or_equal bsod.

So I ran the Microsoft Memory Diagnostic utility as some people had suggested on this board for that error. Came through with flying colors. No errors found.

I'm was about to RMA the Radeon, but now that I got the error with my old GT220 also, I'm beginning to think it's something else.

I've updated every driver that I could without improvement.

Hope you can help discover the cause.

    Welcome aboard.

► First of all, update your Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet NDIS6.x Unified Driver, from Broadcom.
    update the network driver:

1] download the network card driver from manufactuer's website.
    2] Then reinstall the driver:
3] Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Menu Search box and press Enter.
4] Double click to expand "Network adaptors".
5] Right click your network card and click Uninstall.
6] Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK.
    7] Restart the computer

If windows does not auto configure the appropriate drivers at startup, install the downloaded one manually.

► Your zip doesn's nontain any crash dump.
Do it, to force crash dumps.

    1. Go to Advance System Setting
    2. Under Performance .. click on setting ...
    3. Go to Advanced Tab and then under virtual memory click change
    4. check "Automatically Manage paging file size for all drives"..... click Ok and ok
    5. and if asked to restart do so....

Now you should be able to create a minidump. (By Centaur78)

Post the dumps for us, when there are subsequent crashes after updating the Broadcom driver.

    Updated my Broadcom driver.

My performance setting was already setup like you suggested.
But, after I got out of it it asked to restart, so I did.

I'll see if I can grab the dumps from the last series of crashes before I swapped cards back to my old GT220.

I was gonna leave it be and wait until next week, but decided to try hooking the Radeon back up after the ethernet driver update you suggested. Now I've been running video full screen for 3 hours while playing Diablo 3 at full resolution without a single shutdown. I'll try running it overnight, but I think you fixed the issue!

    ZOMG! I love you, ARC!!!!
