BSOD in normal mode (various errors), Runs fine in Safe Mode

I'm not sure what causes my BSOD. The errors range from BAD_POOL_HEADER to ntfs.sys to drivers-something.

I am currently running Safe Mode with Networking and things seem stable.

I ran Anti-malware (nothing found), VIPRErescuescanner (nothing), fakereanfix (didn't help), ComboFix (probably made things worse).

Are my drivers up to date? No, probably not, but at this point, I'm scared to change anything else.
Is my windows 7 up to date? No updates installed since Jan 2012, I'm too scared to update anything lest I cause more BSODs.

    Minidump attached in next post.

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this:

    • Click on the Start
    • Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box
    • When it opens, go to File, Save
    • Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember
    • Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info
    • Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder
    • Upload the .zip file here.

The majority of your BSODs were caused by AsDsm.sys - Asus Data Security Manager Driver

This software needs to be uninstalled. Use Revo to uninstall the ASUS software Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

One of your dumps showed it and I needed the msinfo file for confirmation.
Observe your computer for 2/3 days. If you don't have more blue screens, come back let us know and mark this thread solved.

    Have a great day! :)

    BSOD Windows 7 Ultimate

    Hi,

I have had my Acer computer for 10 years. I have not added any software/hardware for quite a while. All was fine until a month or so ago.

I get the BSOD, various messages. I can operate in Safe Mode. I can use the internet, for awhile, in Safe Mode.

I saw in another post a person with similar conditions. The replier said to send the msn32 file to her for evaluation.

I have run the various checkdisks, with the various switches. I have used the scan now feature. The condition of the hard drive says condition is good.

I will gladly provide any further details that may help, find cause.

    Thanks for your time.

    dan
