Hi,
How did the re-installation go? Are you getting BSODs?
How does your system shut down?
Let me know.
Sorry for not updating you in time.
I had to get the wire for the hard drive.. things seem to go missing when i need them. -_-
Anyway I backed up the stuff i need, made the 4 recovery disc and made a win7 home premium installation disc.
Now all i have left to do is to start re installing. ill let you know how things work out.
Ok I decided to do a factory reset as i was a bit on edge on actually re-installing windows from somewhere else and not from the brand. It shuts down/sleeps/hibernate like a baby with the itus, perfect. :P
I gradually moved in with the windows updates and things seem to be fine. i left the atheros driver for last. and i dun see any of those problems yet after updating it.
but, my laptop had a bit of a overheating problem. I have a CPU temperature gadget running. and i notice its getting even hotter quicker while im not even doing anything really. i could have just 1 tab on chrome and its 90c when before i could have had like 20 tabs(dontask :P) and it would below 80c. i dont know if any of the updates could have this effect on it.
No, I've been saying i should get one for the longest while. lol
i just prop my laptop on top of its own battery so there's air space underneath.. that worked for me but now its getting really hot even when my room is air conditioned. it worried me while i had a movie on today.
Not like this. the way it is now is overboard. its reaching almost 100c and thats whats worrying me.
Ill try and open it up and see if it needs cleaning and check the thermal paste on the cpu.
Anyways, thank you for the help on my first problem. I appreciate it.
