BSOD using any 3D Intensive Games. Generic crashes nvd3dum.dll
Afternoon Sevenforums, fairly recently (3 months ago), I began crashing and experiencing several errors in the game Everquest 2. The crashes were generally from nvd3dum.dll. This past week I picked up Guild Wars 2 and experience the crashes every 5-10 minutes making the game unplayable. The errors are generally Memory cannot be read at 29eqw234 etc... and memory cannot be written.
The dll included in the crash reports was nvd3dum.dll pointing me towards the graphics drivers which I reinstalled several times including wiping everything with driver sweeper and so on. No fix, began to switch RAM and busted out $110 for 2 sticks of 2GB PNY which still.. did not fix the errors. I've even gone to the extent of wiping the HDD clean, reinstalling Windows, then reinstalling the 20 GB game Guild Wars 2. I will include everything I know so far as to include, If you need anything more please let me know and give me an idea on how to access it. Thank you!
Things attempted ;
chkdsk
swapping ram
fresh format+install
reinstalling drivers (used driversweeper and such)
running games in admin mode
underclocking GPU
This really has me stumped!!
EDIT ; Added Windows 7 Diagnostics File.. S7Diag.zip
