    BSOD, Random times on Random days

    Has been happening on and off for the last couple of months, strangely enough the problem went away once after we had a power surge but has now returned, Usually get at least 1 a day at a random time ( Maybe a game, maybe on youtube, maybe just right clicking a folder )

    Took a photo of it last time and got this error code,

    *** STOP: 0x0000001e (0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000)

    After a bit of searching this forum i found i should also post a dump log from C:\Windows\Minidump ... When trying this i keep getting an access is denied message but i have admin privileges ?

    Should also add that i have read about faulty drivers/ software and ran software to "fix" the problems yet i still get the BSOD.

    Will try and get the dump log on for my next reply but any ideas straight off the bat ? Seems to be quite a common problem.

    Anthony

    Thanks mate knew there had to be something around here for it.
    I'm not sure if there related as this was happening before the BSOD's but the computer takes awile loading in the windows screen ( 2+ minutes at the shortest ) Just in case they're related and i can get both fixed.

    I will see the dumps when I will get home back, or maybe somebody else will take a look in between.

    OK, here it goes.

    Probably caused by Hardware (atikmpag.sys)
    Code:
    .....
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *
    *                        Bugcheck Analysis                                    *
    *                                                                             *
    *******************************************************************************

    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

    BugCheck 1E, {0, 0, 0, 0}

    Probably caused by : hardware ( atikmdag+33f79 )

    So, two things will I suggest here:

    1. Uninstall your ATI/AMD display drivers with Driver Fusion, and reinstall it again.
    2. Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

    AMD USB Filter Driver (apart of the chipset drivers)

    Code:
    fffff880`02ffb448  fffff880`048041f4Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\usbfilter.sys, Win32 error 0n2
    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for usbfilter.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for usbfilter.sys
     usbfilter+0x21f4
    I would suggest you uninstall it, and reinstall, again, in the same way I told earlier, using driver fusion. You may search it in AMD Support & Drivers.

    Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
    Code:
    fffff880`02ffa9b8  fffff880`040d71ffUnable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Rt64win7.sys, Win32 error 0n2
    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for Rt64win7.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for Rt64win7.sys
    It is kinda old.

    Code:
    kd> lmvm Rt64win7
    start             end                 module name
    fffff880`040d1000 fffff880`04156000   Rt64win7 T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: Rt64win7.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Rt64win7.sys
        Image name: Rt64win7.sys
        Timestamp:        Fri Jun 10 12:03:15 2011 (4DF1BAAB)
        CheckSum:         0008B67F
        ImageSize:        00085000
        Translations:     0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
    Try to update it, from Realtek

    Some problems are there with USBPORT.sys. I would suggest you to turn on USB selective suspense to see the results.

    Another frequent problem is tcpip.sys. It is network related, so you should update your network driver.

    1] download the network card driver from manufactuer's website.
    2] Then reinstall the driver:
    3] Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Menu Search box and press Enter.
    4] Double click to expand "Network adaptors".
    5] Right click your network card and click Uninstall.
    6] Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK.
    7] Restart the computer

    If windows does not auto configure the appropriate drivers at startup, install the downloaded one manually.

    ► Uninstall the following programs, MUST!

    Free up the startup.

    1. Click on the Start button
    2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    3. Select the “Startup” tab.
    4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    5. Apply > OK
    6. Accept the restart.

    Let us know the results.
