Spent the day working on the computer
Things are getting worse, now when I logged on the PC and put the password in the PC crashed immediately and just froze
It worked in safe mode though. Foolishly (maybe) I wiped the SSD and tried to re install windows.
it failed and BSOD'd on me halfway through installation.
Went out and bought a 1tb new HDD. Some WD green thing...
Tried to install windows on this with the SSD unconnected... It failed, skipped the BSOD and just restarted.
Swapped the graphics card out for my old one from another PC. While trying to reinstall windows the PC just restarted itself again.
Tried to take 1 stick of RAM out, and tried again. It failed.
Tried the other stick, it failed again...
Tried the cooling thing with the house fan, it failed again...
I also tried without any USB accessories such as my microphone, USB hub, graphics tablet, USB HDD... failed again.
Do I need to try the power supply and replace that?
I cannot replace the CPU or Motherboard... is there a way to test further?
If I leave the PC on BIOS it will not crash if that helps... (no idea)
All your help is seriously appreciated. Thanks

Since this is a new build try stripping it out to only the motherboard and then carefully, slowly reinstall all hardware and cable. Even the best of us, and me, forget a small thing at times.
We do need the system specs.
The 0x124 error is some hardware fail, but is too generic to pinpoint from dmp files.
System specs were in my first post:
CPU: AMED Athlon II 651k Black Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-A55M-DS2 A55 AMD FM1
SSD: Corsair 60GB Nova 2
RAM: 8GB 2x4GB Kingston 1600mhz hyper-X CL9
GPU: XFX HD 5450 heatsink 1GB DDR3 low profile
:)
I was just pointing that out - I just put them in the thread for you and also my profile...
Going to do that now :) Give me half an hour.Since this is a new build try stripping it out to only the motherboard and then carefully, slowly reinstall all hardware and cable. Even the best of us, and me, forget a small thing at times.

Thank you for the specs, I found the minimum PSU for the GPU is 400W and that is likely your problem. I suggest you upgrade to a good Corsair, Seasonic, or Antec Neo in the 400W-450W range.
The cheap Chinese 300W may not even be up to sustaining 200W.
