Alright no problem, and I vaguely remember running a diagnostic tool and seeing something about a bad driver, and running a disk check noticed some 'minor bad file names' or something like that

ugh.... well... memtest has been running for about 10 minutes and found 18432 errors, I'm gonna assume right there is the problem...
The RAM is new though so I'm not really sure why this is happening...
Yes this was just what I was about to post as the dumps point toward RAM so do the symptoms you describe :) sounds like we found the culprit. Anyway, you should test them each in different slots make sure that it's not the motherboard's ram slot but a ram stick(s).
Test just as I mentioned in my post #128
Good luck and let us know the results.
Well I reseated the RAM and booted up the pc, microsoft security essentials still wouldn't open, and then booted back up in memtest and it has been running since and hasn't found any errors, 2 pass so far so it's already doing better than last time....
So I'm gonna guess that maybe something was wrong with how it was seated, hopefully the mobo is okay since it's brand new right, I'll leave memtest running for now I guess, what do you think?
Yes let memtest continue. I will be calling a friend for more opinions :)
PS:, how many sticks of ram do you have?(I forgot) Are you testing all of them?
Hey I only have 2 sticks of 4GBs each, I have left memtest on and this time I'm at the 11th pass with no errors, this is after moving both sticks of RAM to different slots on my mobo
Even though that test showed no errors, I'm getting BSOD's before I can even boot up my pc....
What type of RAM is it? the 3570K usually won't rum RAM at more than 2133 and be stable, even if it is of a higher frequency.
I'll read through some of the 14 pages later, for now we need some information on your RAM and hardware settings.
Can you download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.
For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.
How to Post a Screenshot in Seven Forums
Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and the CPU integrated memory controller (CPU IO for your motherboard) voltages are.
You may need to adjust some of the RAM settings in UEFI.
What slots are you using?
Should be 2 & 4.
Did you enable XMP?
