Freeze/Crash at random times - New build PC

    Hi

I'm new to the world of Windows 7, so when my old PC bit the dust, I thought it was well worth getting something capable of running it.

My new PC seemed nice & happy, but is freezing up at random points. I don't get a BSoD, just a frozen screen, mouse and keyboard, and end up having to reboot using the Off switch.

I've attached the logs & dumps, as normally requested. If anybody can help me crack this, I'd be very grateful.

    Cheers
    Col.

Turns out the parts weren't compatible. The guys I got them off gave it a once over & spotted that they'd installed a 6-core processor on a motherboard built for quad-core. D'oh.
Changed motherboard & re-tested. Chip was still drawing too much power, so changed the processor as well & now looking quite happy.

Let's hope it stays this way!!!
