BSOD, BCCode: 24

Im getting BSOD at random time,

e.g. at desktop and im away from the keyboard and downloading in the background.

i have never had this issue before, since i bought this computer 4 months ago

it all started 2 weeks ago when i went away for 3 days, i had the computer turn off and the power switch off.

i have also did a memtest86, and windows memery test, the windows one shows no problem, but memtest86 shows ...100% problems, not even single 1 pass, and after i done memtest86, i couldn't log into windows so i reinstall windows 7.

PS: im getting BSOD under fresh installed Windows7 Pro with only few apps installed, and video card driver.

Also , when the Windows startup , i don't hear the startup sound right away...i hear it like 20 mins later ( randomly )


I have also moved my RAM 8gb x 2 , both of them from white slot to blue slots ( didn't stop BSOD )

No i have not ,

Does that mean both of the RAM = bad ?

is there a more accurate way to test it ?

coz Windows Memory test says it's all good ...100% passed

but memtest86 says the other .

my RAM is still under warrenty, i could send it back, but i just want to be sure, RAM is causing all that problems

PS: and , if memtest86 shows all my RAM = 100% fail, how can i still use it , i only get 1 - 2 BSOD everyday ? doesn't that mean my RAM is completely broken ?

Hi , i didn't OC my RAM , do i still need to check it ? ....

if i continue to get BSOD , i might just send both RAM stick back , and get them to test it for me

RAM - Test with Memtest86+

You can test each stick of RAM individually, and then each RAM slot.

but i don't think i will run memtest86 again ...coz last time i did it, i couldn't get back into Windows , the loading stopped at "Welcome" so i reboot in safe mode , backup all the stuff, then reinstall windows .

NO BSOD for me today :) im very happy ,

but i will try the BIOS load safe defaults thing,
