I don't know where I missed the drivers in the installation process. I thought I did everything perfect at least on the installation. Windows update did not provide those drivers. I used windows updates BEFORE I grabbed those drivers. (Except for the network controller)

Performance is great. Haven't run into any issues yet. Have a few programs that might've been nice to have such as the keypad multitouch program but I can just use my mouse. Other than that startup is quick and everythings in working order. I may need to change the partition size in the future. It's at about 100gigs and I already used about 30. Still have that 400 gigs or so in unallocated space anyways.

As long as you did all of your Important and Optional Updates before importing any drivers then it should be good.

Did you give careful thought as advised in tutorial to which partitions to keep since OEM Recovery and Tools might not work any longer - you can test them to be sure to know if you want to keep them? This is all in tutorial.

In addition if any features you like are missing like touchpad gestures then first try the driver from the Asus Downloads webpage for your model, then if it's not sufficient look for software or a hotfix for it on the same page - possibly a different tab. This is also in the tutorial.

I did not see that in the tutorial and did not pay attention to the recovery tools in the partition. I simply deleted the other partition and created a new one.

Oh and by the way I have the touchpad working. I'm also running microsoft security essentials and my bootup is rediculous. I had to restart for the synaptics touchpad driver and the full restart took around a minute.

Be sure to establish a clean boot with only MSE, gadgets/Stickies/Skydrive if you use them. The steps to do this completely and monitor it are in tutorial.

If boot remains long after awhile then work through the logs and other resources in Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 to try to uncover a cause, which might be a problem driver. There is a trace that can be run if all else fails.

Yup, checked msconfig and my boots pretty clean. Let me know if I should get rid of any of these but it seems like it would be a pain to have to open these on every boot.

As it says in the tutorial you don't need any of those except MSE starting with Win7. The intel is bloatware not needed unless overclocking.

If you're missing touchpad functions you can add back the Elan and Synaptics one at a time until you get the function back.

Now follow the rest of the Clean Boot steps to do the same for Services tab.

Yup, touchpad isn't working. Going to need to fix that.
I stopped all services/startups except MSE.

Start with Elan as it may override Synaptics.

I tried all three of them individually. No luck : / could I have disabled a service that effected it?
