okay, i've updated both drivers, and i just got another blue screen. here's the minidump for that crash.

also, i crashed three other times between the time i updated the nVidia driver and the time i updated the realtek driver. this is highly unusual. i live in an area that was affected by Hurricane Sandy, and my internet connection has been unstable for the past few days. we have also been experiencing minor power fluctuations. is it possible that these things are somehow contributing to the problem?

Disable driver verifier now ... and then report the situation back.

In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.

Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Verifier enabled for sure, but still no possible causes are there.
    Code:

How long have you ran verifier? Is it the single one crash with verifier enabled? In that case, we may need to think differently.

That's a good news that the problem is traced out. Let us know the results after replacing the RAM stick :)

And, let us know one more thing ... is it still crashing, if you dont use that particular problematic RAM module?
