The manual is not very descriptive, however they will be installed into 2 dimms of the same color and it looks to me like the 2 black slots. The 2 closest to the CPU is what it looks like.

EDIT: How long ago since you bought the sticks from Microcenter?

OK, that's the 4GB kit ones, right? Have you had any issues with them ?

Not 100% sure when i bought the sticks but its been over 2 months now, the 4gb sticks are the ones that have the issue. I ran the system on the 2gb sticks fine for months.

It is many times not a good practise to run different ram densities together. You will usually have a better time running either 2GB sticks or 4Gb sticks. Either should run OK, but together can cause some problems. Do I understand correctly? You can run memtest individually on either 4GB stick but not on both?

Well, i get bsods with only the 4gb sticks in... And ive run a total of 16 passes on each stick individually and never got errors but when they're together in dual channel i get errors before the 2nd pass is over.

Like essenbe has stated the manual leaves a lot to be desired. If the two slots are the same color I think you have them installed correctly. Thank for answering my question and the manual. I will have to do some thinking.

Well, I had an MSI board that did the same thing. I bought about 4 sets of ram for it. It would not run with any 4GB stick, but would run fine with 2GB sticks. I ended up RMA'ing the board. The replacement board was the same way. I ended up with an Asus board. But, Just for a gamble, put a 4GB stick in the first dimm slot and a 2GB stick in the second dimm slot. Slots 1 and 2. See what happens. Just a suggestion.

Also. On Monday call Crucial tech support and tell them your problems. You can probably get an RMA from them for the 4GB sticks and see if that helps, but I believe the problem is the board dimm slots.
