    Hi Justin,

    Copy this file: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-calc.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.16386_en-us_89314afcc0524026\calc.exe.mui
Paste it here (replace any existing file): C:\Windows\System32\en-US\calc.exe.mui

    Copy this file: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft-windows-calc_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6000.16386_none_a7873f3f1dd0e729\calc.exe
Paste it here (replace any existing file): C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe

Now we need to reset the permissions on those files. Please download this tool:

    http://www.xptsp.com/fixit/get.php?u...acer_v1.5.4.7z

Extract it to your Desktop and right-click > Run as administrator.

    Set permissions to TrustedInstaller

    1. In Se7ven File Replacer, click the Extra tab, then click Restore Trusted Installer
    2. Click Yes when prompted to continue
    3. You will be asked to select a file, navigate to the following file and select it:

      %SYSTEMROOT%\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-aero_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.17514_none_0a0916fa3009208a\aero.msstyles

Where %SYSTEMROOT% is the root folder of your system drive - usually C:\

    4. Then, one by one, repeat for these files:

      Code:
      %SYSTEMROOT%\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-com-oleui_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_7c68eba6c772803d\oledlg.dll

Although I did successfully replace the calc.exe and the calc.exe.mui files.

Sorry, that was sheer incompetence on my part. I meant these files:

    C:\Windows\System32\en-US\calc.exe.mui
    C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe

    LOL
I actually had to Google "sheer incompetence" to make sure I was reading it right :P
    But it's done.

Haha, let's try another SFC now. Then upload the CBS log as before.

Should I delete the CBS logs before doing the SFC?

Nope, leave them as they are :) A SFC scan will just append text to the end of the log.

It doesn't seem to like my files. I think the best option is to go for a repair install:
