I have no clue what BSOD is but my moms laptop crashed! it won't load

    I have no clue what BSOD is but my moms laptop crashed! it won't load


    Alright so my mom did something stupid on her laptop and it crashed I guess, the screen loads from like the home screen and it gets to the login part but the login doesn't show up it's all black with only the mouse cursor and she says if she doesn't get her laptop fixed shes cutting off the internet I CAN'T LIVE WITH OUT MY NET! please help me. I don't know how to fix it and I don't know where to even post this.

    Please tap f8 on startup and boot into safemode with netoworking, then follow the link above, and post the file in a a new thread here : Crashes and Debugging - Windows 7 Forums
    Once done, reply to this thread with the link to your new thread, and then close this thread.

    But my moms screen goes black not blue...it wont load

    If you have the disk the easiest solution would be to run a system restore from the recovery console.

    Boot off the disk.
    When on the install screen choose repair its on the lower left corner.
    This will give you a menu. Choose system restore.
    Choose the most currnet restore point.

    I don't have a disk and i'm trying to system restore right now and it's been on this screen for the past 30 minutes and i can only do system restore in safe mode that's if and when I can get to safe mode

    I followed the instructions ...but i'm like a noob at all of this im just googling solutions i got the screen on the computer loads but now when i try to go on the internet or download mcafee the computer crashes

    every time it goes to the blue screen when it crashes i try to read all it says and i finally see that it says something about the "Video Adapter" and then boom it reloads how can i fix this problem??

    Give system restore a try from advanced restore settings? tap f8 on startup
