    Random BSOD on windows.

    Hello guy,

I'm really concerned abouty my computer, i'm having random BSOD and the error say its on ntoskrnl.exe at dxgkrnl.sys driver. I really don't know what I have to do or what does it mean. trying to find a solution I end up in here and I really hope that someone can help me.

    My computer specs are:

    AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
    ASUS M5A87
    Memory Gskill DDR3 8GB 2000Mhz (2x4gb)
    Zotac GeForce GTX 590 3Gb DDR5

I'm very afraid that it can be my video card, once its happens more whn using video (already happened on windows idle twice).

I made a compacted file with the program that you recommend on creating topic like this and i'm sending together.

    Thank you!

    Edit:

I forgot to ask one thing, about a month ago I opened my computer for cleaning, couse I was having overheating at my video card and putting my framerate very low while playing Battlefield 3. So I oppened it all and changed the thermal paste, but I realized that the old was different, like a gray mass, more solid, and I used the common used on processors.

After that I was very concerned and keep on watch at Speedfan program, but it never freezed while its open, aways when I forget to open it, so i can't say if its overheating.

There is any risk I broke my video card doing that?

    Thanks Again!

    Thank you for your reply!
Basically, as I read on the 0x0116 erros its caused by overheating or defective video card.

I made the most of the tests on that topic, I'm goig to change the thermal paste to an MX-4 and see if it's help, while can't finf a Waterblock in my country. I believe it's a overheating problem and really hope that it's only it 'couse I can't afford another vga like this. In meanwhile i will leave the case open and puts a Fan pointing inside.

If it doesn't work i will try to format the system and eliminate any directX, windows or vga driver problem.

Later I will tell what was the problem in case this can help another person!
