Multiple BSODs after clean install of W7 on new HDD?

Hi guys, today Im coming to you to help me with my BSOD problems. I used to have a failing hard drive and bad Ram sticks which corrupted Windows. I replaced those two with a new hard drive and 8 gb of Ram and installed a clean version of windows 7 ultimate.

Ever since then, Ive been getting multiple BSODs at least 7 times, all different error codes, and I had to do a system restore and another clean install* again (*Im not sure if it was a clean install since all I did was format the partitions during the w7 install). Not only that but my computer would randomly shut off and restart to tell me that windows stopped, showing no BSOD error code or whatnot. I also couldnt watch Flash videos without it crashing after a few minutes or keep Firefox working without it crashing

So far today, the BSODs and browser/flash crashes haven't worsened. I just got a BSOD a couple of minutes ago and I havent had mozilla crash on me...yet.

I would also like to add that my new hard drive and ram sticks have no errors. I used Hdd tune and memtest and both came out okay with no errors.

I think it might be that my install disc for w7 is corrupted since I did a clean install of it on a new hard drive and windows somehow became corrupted. Link to minidump files below. Theres two of them.

Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, memory

So , let us search for any driver which is causing the problem or not. In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Also, the the memory modules needs to be tested.
RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Run it for at least eight pass, preferably overnight.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Mozilla is crashing like crazy, every few minutes and flash as well

I haven't had a BSOD in a week but my computer would occasionally shut off by itself and restart, without having a BSOD

I've had others from another forum look at my minidumps and they concluded that the OS is corrupted, as a result of bad RAM sticks and a failing hard drive. I replaced the hard drive and RAM sticks, did a clean installation of W7 and I still experience BSODs and annoying flash/browser crashes

Your crash dumps are not showing any finite probable cause. In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.

upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

1. Click on the start button
2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight, per RAM module per slot.

Prior to all of this, I had a failing hard drive and bad RAM sticks that I received from the previous owner that I bought from (I still managed to get a good deal on the hardware, even though some were corrupted). Anyway, the OS (Windows 7) was corrupted and so I had to go buy a new hard drive and new RAM sticks as well as having to do a clean install of the OS

During the first few days of the clean install, I was getting rampant BSODs which seemed to have mellowed out with the Windows Update and updating the drivers. I still occasionally get BSOD, but that's once every few days. The browser (Mozilla) on the other hand, keeps crashing numerous times, sometimes within a minute or two of each other. I also had Flash crash rapidly but that also seems to have solved itself as Flash doesn't crash anymore, at least not like Firefox. Also, my computer shuts down and reboots numerous of times, although not as much as Firefox, throughout the course of the day, no BSOD. It shuts down out of nowhere, restarts and takes me to the Windows did not properly shut down window, with the Safe mode options.

I have not overclocked any hardware and I have tested the hard drive and RAM sticks with an HDD test on Hiren's Boot CD and Memtest.

The hard drive came out with no errors after the HDD test, but one of the two 4 GB G Skill Ripjaws that I bought came out with an error on Memtest86+, which I was surprised to find since they were brand new (Not sure if I would be able to RMA it since I bought it from
an eBay user)

These are the steps I took in testing out the RAM sticks in Memtest86+

1) First, I did the recommended 7 pass test for both RAM sticks on the two slots on my mobo (My mobo only has two)

2) Two errors came up so after the initial 7 pass test, I removed one of the RAM sticks and restarted the Memtest on one RAM

3) This RAM stick only came out with one error after 7 passes so I removed that RAM stick, added the second RAM stick on the same slot and restarted Memtest again.

4) This second RAM stick came out with no errors, even after 12 passes (I left Memtest running overnight), which was surprising since there were two errors in the initial test and only one error between the two RAM sticks


Based off of these tests, I think I can conclude that my motherboard is not failing and I only had one bad RAM stick.
