    There's still a problem with WatWeb.dll
This is the cause of any validation failures you experienced, as it's the ActiveX control involved in validation.
I was going to suggest re-registering the dll - but it fails because of permissions in all scenarios I've tried so far, so would require some fairly major surgery in the registry.
I'm concerned, because this file is a fairly central one, and the error indicates that there is a registry problem involving this file - and it takes a fair amount to override the permissions involved for this file.

I need to think about where to go next on this - I suspect that it will involve registry surgery with the update uninstalled, and it'll take me a while to work out how and what to do. I'm busy all day tomorrow, so Friday is the earliest you can hope for a potential fix.

Your other option is a repair install - see the tutorial here Repair Install
