Alright, I'm back home. I seem to have another problem. (and no I haven't done repair install yet) When I try to update a Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2660649) It fails to install it with the error code 80073712.
Also my PC (which I am using right now) also has the same problem, but it cannot install almost ANY updates. Can you help me with this? Also I will try to do the repair install now. (Do I need to unplug anything or not)
Create a new thread in this Windows Updates & Activation - Windows 7 Forums section for the other computer.
For your laptop, repair install would be a better way to eliminate the issues as already stated by Noel.
Alright, thanks. So do I need to unplug any wires or something? Before I do the repair
So you mean I unplug mouses, A/C power source and stuff like that?
Sure. I have downloaded 1GB/3.1GB of the ISO now.
Another question about the reinstall. In step 3 it says "Back up your files externally by dragging your named User account or active User folders to another HD, external drive, flash stick or disk."
Does that mean I copy the folder C:\Users\Mikko (my username) to a usb stick or something like that?
