BSOD when using flash player, error 0x000000e1

    Hi all.

For the past 3 days I've been experiencing blue-screen errors while playing flash based facebook games. Sometimes it's immediate, sometimes it's happens after a while. I've tried re-installing flash player but it didn't seem to help.

I would be appreciated if someone can help me point our and solve this problem, thank you.

    Welcome

    Problematic software:
    Code:
    Start Menu\Programs\McAfee	Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee	Public
McAfee is known to cause BSODs, I see that you can MSE installed and keeping two antiviruses would cause problems anyway.

Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

You also need to update to the latest drivers for your graphics card.
    Code:
    Driver	c:\windows\system32\drivers\atikmpag.sys (8.14.1.6091, 157.50 KB (161,280 bytes), 16/4/2010 2:34)
Click on the Start ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to ATI.

Delete remnants of their drivers using Driver Sweeper

Now get the latest drivers from the Device manager or AMD website or a reliable source like Filehippo.com.

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Hi. Thank you for helping me solve the problem.

I have updated my video card driver to the latest version now.
    File checker found no problems.

My latest Chkdsk shows 4kb bad sector. I knew my hard drive had errors and I was planning on replacing it right after I get a new external hard drive for my system image backups.

I'm not sure if the problem is fixed yet, only time will tell. But if I get the same BSOD again, I'll let you guys know and post up here.

I've got a quick question though, an off-topic one. Can you recommend me a free registry fixing or pc tuning tool?

    (Trojan free of course.)

Back-ups are always important, whether or not you're hard drive is having a problem. So good idea on getting an external drive. Run the disk check on the rest of the drivers as well.

Ccleaner has a good reputation, I would not recommend any other tweaker/pc optimizer/tune-up utilities cause the damage windows beyond repair.

Go through this tutorial if you have time:

I'm taking a look at it.
Did you uninstall McAfee completely and install MSE & MBAM?

I have MSE. But I did not uninstall McAfee. Simply because I've been using it for two years and it never caused any problems of these sort, and since the crashes happened when I open that particular app only I don't really believe McAfee is the cause of the problem. By the way, I've been using that facebook app for 3 weeks, and problem only started 3 days ago. Other people I know that uses that app don't appear to have this problem ether.

    OK. Uninstall MSE then.

Keeping two antiviruses is a problem there anyway but I'm not sure I will be able to help you further if you aren't fully following whats being suggested to you.

OK, other then uninstalling McAfee, is there anything else I could do?
Is the dump showing any other problems?
