BSOD crashing programs
I just built myself a desktop for the first time, everything works well but every now and then I get the BSOD or have programs (Firefox, Catalyst Control Center, VLC, etc.) crash on me with more or less frequency. I've been trying to figure out if it was a hardware, OS, driver, etc. issue but haven't been able to pinpoint it. I was having problems with the first game I was trying with this computer too, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and that would freeze everytime I loaded a game. I fixed that by turning off Overdrive through the Catalyst Control Center (when I can actually open it; I am not overclocking anything to my knowledge). The message on the BSOD has been slightly different each time although lately it's mentioned Ntfs.sys I was trying to figure out the fix myself but am now at a loss for what my next solution should be. I had tried reinstalling Windows 7 but even had problems with that (crashed during, possibly creating another problem?) I know how all over of an explanation this is (like my search to fix it has been) and it is somewhat vague but I'm hoping someone might be able to help. Thank you!
