BSOD 9f randomly happening

    Thanks again for your help, I have received and will install the NVIDIA driver as per your suggestion will install it tonight, however I have trouble finding the ALPS driver on the site you suggested, I even tried drivers in the search bar and got nothing.

    Hello again, I thought everything would be fine last thing suggested did not quite work so I uninstalled and reinstalled the ALPs and Nvidia drivers form the acer support site and it seemed to be working ok but got hit again today, please help.

    I am seeing that you are using a beta driver. In that case use the latest one ...

    Re-seat the graphics card.

    Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

    Ok so i got the latest non beta version of the driver and installed (306.23-notebook-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql) but did not get a chance to run the stress test, had 2 BSOD, tried to run the test but the funmark application fails when I select the settings as per the instructions step 3
    3. Select your resolution from the drop-down menu, and enable the following:

    • Burn-in
    • Xtreme burn-in
    • Post FX

    Help this is getting very frustrating

    It seems to be a new computer, with switchable graphics, nvidia and intel.

    Better you contract the vendor first, as it should be within warranty.

    It is under warranty, I just wanted to eliminate any possibilities before being with out my laptop for too long. Oh well, I guess that is all I can do, time to start a new backup.
