Getting BSOD when waking from sleep mode (Windows 7 64 bit).

(I've searched around and have seen this issue posted around on the site, but since there might be multiple causes for this, I thought it best to post this new topic. If this is incorrect, simply link me to a similar thread on the issue, and I'll post there/try that solution. Whatever makes more sense.)

Simply put: almost every time my computer has woken up from sleep mode, it has woken up into a BSOD. I can't name any new software or hardware I have installed that might have brought this about. I bought it new fairly recently, and the only hardware I put in it are a microphone and a mouse. The closest I can think would be installing DirectX 9 as part of Civ V, but since the problem comes from before this event, I doubt that is the cause. I have tried installing updates, hoping that might fix this, but this has not helped. Here's a link to the ZIP file the Diagnostic on this site has given me: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w0he0h4ryg...st%20crash.zip

Also, this may not be related, but for completeness, I'll list another issue that might possibly be related. Sometimes, after restarting my computer, Japanese characters fail to display properly in a lot of programs. I can see it just fine in Chrome, but if I mouse over Chrome to preview the windows, for instance, and the page title is in Japanese, I simply get the "couldn't figure out what this is" boxes.

    Welcome to SevenForums

    Problematic software:
    Code:
    1. Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee Public
    2. Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy Public:Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy Public
McAfee is a frequent cause of BSODs (specially in the case you describe). Please uninstall it using its removal tool. (You may install it back later if we know that it wasn't the cause of your BSODs.

Also note that you have MSE and MBAM which are by far the best combination and recommended by many on our website. Please uninstall Spybot as well. It's known to slow down the system.

Uninstall using the free version of Revo Uninstaller in Advanced Mode:

Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-

Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Free up your start-up, keep nothing except the antivirus.

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Run the following tools and delete anything they find:

    ESET online scanner:

Let us know the results and further BSODs if any

I've put my computer into sleep mode enough to know that the problem is solved. Seems like McAfee was causing the problem, as stated.
