    Got my first BSoD: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I just installed Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on my Acer Aspire 4920 yesterday and just now I got my first blue screen. I'm currently booting from safe mode.

I attached the .dmp file I got from C://Windows/Minidump

I was really panicked but after searching for informations on Google, I believe there's a chance that this could be solved. Thanks for the help.

Yes I did it yesterday, all listed as compatible. I also checked Intel Driver Update Utility and updated everything it detected as outdated. The BSoD still appear at times and Windows freezes a lot.

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

Please upload your msinfo32.txt file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Export -> Save as msinfo32.txt and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .txt file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

    Here's the file (attached)

Oh, and another BSoD just happened earlier. And I've also been getting this black screen with error message: Operating system not found. But when I reboot I could get back to Windows but it'd crash soon after.

Uninstall Avast! antivirus, it contributes in BSOD-s.

Use Microsoft security essentials while troubleshooting.

Check for a newer BIOS version:
    Code:
    BIOS Version/Date	Phoenix Technologies LTD V1.08, 8/24/2007
    Update the sound card drivers:
    Code:
    Driver	c:\windows\system32\drivers\hdaudio.sys (6.1.7601.17514, 297.00 KB (304,128 bytes), 11/21/2010 5:29 AM)
Update the Intel graphic card drivers from Intel Download Center:
    Code:
    Driver	c:\windows\system32\drivers\igdkmd32.sys (8.15.10.1749, 4.54 MB (4,756,480 bytes), 6/11/2009 5:19 AM)
Go to the Intel® Driver Update Utility, check your system for the latest updates. (Needs java to run)

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using crystal disk info:

    Test your hard drive:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

    Let us know the results.

Uninstalled Avast, replaced it with Microsoft Security Essentials. However, I heard that it's not the best antivirus software? Is there any better antivirus than Avast/Microsoft Security Essentials that you'd recommend or should I just stick to the Microsoft one? And by the way, I installed SuperAntispyware Free Edition earlier today. Do I have to uninstall that too?

As I mentioned before, I already did the driver update. Well did it again just now, here's the result:

About the BIOS upgrade, I'm afraid I might do wrong so I haven't upgrade it yet. Please tell me if this is incorrect: I went to Acer website's Support page and clicked Driver Downloads. I keyed in my computer detail and chose BIOS. Here's the result:

I also downloaded Bios Agent Plus. Is these too much to do than required? This is the result from that website:

and should I pay to upgrade? And I'm sorry for burdening you but I don't know how to update the sound and graphic card drivers. Screenshot of hard disk from Crystal:

It also says temperature: 47C. Is that bad? I use cooling pad and my laptop isn't hot on the outside (not sure about the inside). Also, my laptop works really well when I'm booting from Ubuntu Live CD. Surely it isn't overheating or could it be?

About the disk check, I do it everyday :) Thank you for your kind help.

Malware bytes (Free) & MSE are a good combination:

Do not start the free trial of malwarebytes. Untick before accepting updates.

*For BIOS update, I have asked a friends input, please wait for him to reply.

    - Post the full snip of Crystal Disk. 47C is not bad, but backing up the stuff you need is important whether your hard drive is failing or not.

You're right MSE is not a real strong AV but for now you can use it. Avast is used by many here with no issues.

Don't pay anybody for a BIOS update or drivers, they are provided free. If you don't have the current BIOS upgrade per the instructions on the Acer website.
