BSOD on start up, Error 0x0000007B

    Hello

Recently my computer began bsod on start up. Specifically during the windows start up screen (where the flag thing appears). I am fairly sure if have identified the cause, the power went out during start up. Corrupting something somewhere

At his point from looking around on the internet chkdsk seems to be a possible solution however i am worried this will cause loss of data could you please advise.

    Thanks in advance doiob.

    Other details
    Safe mode does not work.
Im quite sure my hard drive is fine as i was able to see the c: drive with out errors in system recovery cmd.
Have tried bootrec /fixmbr and bootrec /fixboot they did nothing.

The start up repair function failed
    Code given:

Problem Event Name: Start up repair offline
    Problem sig 01:6.1.7606.16385
    Problem sig 02:6.1.7606.16385
    Problem sig 03: unknown
    Problem sig 04: 116
    Problem sig 05: Autofailover
    Problem sig 06: 1
Problem sig 07: No root cause

I hope this all makes sense if you do not understand anything i wrote please feel free to ask. Thanks in advance.

Stop 7B means "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE". Did you modify win7 to change form AHCI mode to IDE or vice versa?
    Did you reset BIOS?

I had just recently killed a rootkit virus so that may have caused the problem but i doubt it. I have changed nothing in BIOS. I will run check disk but i dont have a d: drive? (To my knowledge)

    Code:
    diskpart
    list vol
Now you see all drive letters. chkdsk all volumes (except dvd's)

What is drive letter of windows in recovery environment?
If I know that I can give you a script

Go to BIOS settings and look at SATA settings. Most likely in "integrated peripherals" sections. All relevant SATA settings set to AHCI, IDE or RAID? Something like this

I belive i may have found the file causing the problem. When trying to use safe mode with command prompt i would show all the files as it loads them but every time it BSOD on the same file AVGIDSEH.sys under system 32 drivers so i believe this may be the file which as been corrupted i hope this helps.
